Everyone has left me
For places better than here
Place I have never seen
And places I will never know
So now I am alone
In a place
That everyone seems to hate
But they are now in their own place
Their own heaven
But someone once told me
That I could see heaven, if push comes to shove
Well, I've done all the pushing
And all the shoving
And all I see
Is darkness
So here I sit
In the dark
Writing this poem
And being depressed
All
By
Myself

i liked the way this one flowed and the fact that it was an open format w/o any forced rhymes.



But someone once told me... i would leave off the but at the beginning of this line.
That I could see heaven, if push comes to shove
Well, I've done all the pushing
And all the shoving
And all I see
Is darkness.... this is my absolute favorite part of this poem JUST PERFECT!!!

It was a lovely sad poem, Amy. And it only makes me wish all the more that I hadn't had to move on to college so soon. :( I wanted to stay, but it wasn't best for me I guess. So said my father. :( I am going to miss seeing the rest of your high school life first hand.

aww this is such a sad poem amy... i am sorry that i am one of the many that are leaving at the end of the year (even if this isn't about us) i wish i could stay with you but i must move on. i really liked this poem however sad it was. you always write some good poetry. go team amy!
